Victim Assist Helpline
The Victim Assist Helpline was created to help crime victims understand their rights and options, find information, connect with resources, access referrals, and craft next steps to regain control over their lives. In addition to staff who answer calls during the day, the Helpline expands outreach through other forms of technology such as online chat, text, and Resource Lookup.
Get the resources you need to:
- Understand your rights
- Navigate the criminal justice system
- Help with expenses
- Connect with local victim services

When I called last Monday morning I felt scared for the safety of my family and powerless to do anything about it. A 45-minute phone call with [Helpline Coordinator] turned all of that around. She was empathetic and encouraging, which enabled me to take action… [She] also did some research, made some calls, and followed up with me via multiple emails, which I greatly appreciate. Thank you for the work you and your team do every day.
